Morong 43

The issue regarding the 43 health workers alleged of being members of communist rebels has been the talk of the town this past few days.
The arrest happened last February 6 at Morong, Rizal during their health training session.

Many family members of the accused health workers are filing case against the military for torturing and molesting some of them. But to defend themselves, Philippine Army stated that the arrest of the 43 accused member of the NPA is legal having been caught them in the act of possession of illegal firearms and explosives.

And, honestly that's the dilemma in which Philippines is experiencing during the time of arresting people who have done something against the law. Filipinos tend to deny and deny it where in fact, the evidence and the proof of their doing is already there.

different style!!

I have read three newspapers yesterday (January 27,2010). These newspapers were from an online publication of different popular universities in Manila, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, University of Sto. Tomas and Ateneo De Manila University to name a few.

Like people or fashion to be specific, making a publication deals with different and unique style and lay-outs. Based on the three newspapers I've read, I could say that even though they differ in style, the writers still possess one thing in common and that is their thought and opinions.

The writers in each publication may used their own sty in writing the articles, the way they expressed their feelings specially with the issue of Maguindanao Massacre and politics so to speak, they still convythe same thoughts and feelings towards it.

Ang Pamantasan, paper of PLM discussed about their ex university's president and
Maguindanao Massacre ; on the otherhand, The Varsitarian, organ of UST focused on newsfeature writing and The Guidon, ADMU's paper focused both in editorial and sorts writing.

Different Faces of Devotees of the Feast of Black Nazarene

It has been part of the Filipino tradition to celebrate the Feast of the Black Nazarene which is currently at Quiapo Church. Black Nazarene is a life-sized, dark color wooden sculpture of Jesus Christ. And it is said to be miraculous by lots of people specially the devotees.

This feast is celebrated every 9th of the January, while the novena was held every Friday night starting from the first quarter of the year. It became also significant because as a part of the procession of the Black Nazarene, devotees walk with bare feet, without shoes or sandals as to imitate Jesus on His walk to the Mount Cavalry.

And this tradition really shows how religious and faithful Filipinos are. Some people or devotees of Nazarene hopes that their wishes will soon be grant by the Nazarene. Some go there just to experience for once how the devotees experienced when they join the procession. And some take the advantage to get a bigger income by selling different souvenirs and memorabilia.

And tomorrow will be the 403rd year of the celebration of the Black Narazene and hopefully everything's gonna be fine.

Gifts

Maybe all of us wait for gifts last christmas.

But I actually haven't receive any gift last Christmas.

But my family were complete and happy even though we lack one of my brother because he died last 2008. It's been two Christmas that we haven't have him.

Election

Whenever election happens here in our country, killings on different side occurs.

For instance was the Ampatuan Massacre.

I just wish that the government and also those who want to be politicians in the near future, be fair and wouldn't allow that to happen again.
